State Government Performance Review

The State Auditor’s Office began a new initiative in 2009 – the State Government Performance Review.  The performance review work program for 2009 includes three parts.  The links below gives background on the review components, and summarize the Auditor’s Office work and how agencies will be involved.

  1. Shared services technical assistance
  2. Government reform ideas
  3. Performance audit work plan (“risk assessment”)

Important Note:  Although the title of the Auditor’s initiative is “performance review,” not every part of their work program is an actual performance review of an agency program or process.  For example, the third component relates to their performance audit program.  It is an internal exercise and only falls under the State Government Performance Review title because it is being conducted by the same staff working on actual performance reviews.
