2007 Report to Citizens
Your tax dollars are what drive Washington State government. In 2006 and 2007, I traveled around the state for a series of town hall meetings. Everywhere I went I listened to citizens about the need for affordable, high-quality health care; good paying jobs; and high-performing schools for our children.
This report reflects those conversations and illustrates how your money has been invested and the progress we are making on the issues that matter most to you.
Washington State has been recognized as one of the best managed states in the country. We remain committed to transparent, accountable government that is responsive to the citizens and delivers real, measurable results.
The back page of this report includes links so you can stay informed and get involved. Our state’s prosperity now and into the future depends on all of us working together for the common good.
