RCW 43.17.390 and Baldrige Assessments
This past session, the Washington State Legislature suspended the WSQA application requirement in RCW 43.17.390 for a period of four years, with applications resuming in 2012 (click here for a “Frequently Asked Questions” document). What this did not affect was the requirement for state agencies to conduct a yearly self-assessment.
To make this easier for agencies, we have developed three options for you to consider to satisfy the obligation. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail Barb Burgener or call her at 360-902-4107. Information is due electronically by December 1, 2009.
- Option 1: If you have not begun to write your agencies Lite or Full Application please use the 2009 Agency Self Assessment Tool (see 2009 instructions for more information). We need only the first page cover sheet completed and returned electronically to Barb Burgener by December 1, 2009.
- Option 2: If you have completed your written application and received your feedback report then you will need to fill out the Agency Management Improvement Progress Report. We will need this document returned electronically to Barb Burgener by December 1, 2009.
- Option 3: If you have submitted your application and not received your feedback report by October 1, 2009 then please send an e-mail to Barb Burgener by December 1, 2009 stating that you are selecting Option 3 which is a "bye" for this year.
